Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number

Some people like to refer to age 18, 21 or maybe even 25 as the turning point when an individual finally becomes an adult. Like one specific calendar date automatically transforms you to being “grown.”

In reality, people mature at TOTALLY different time frames. To me, some characteristics of an adult include: being financially responsible for yourself, gracefully sacrificing wants for needs, being able to successfully interact with society as an individual, and being open-minded to change.

What makes someone “grown” in your mind?
